Championship hopes for one AMR powered runner at Super Cars Espanas final round from Jerez

Whilst most European based series are now or have already closed up for the season, the Iberian Supercars Series still have two race weekends to go before they also call time on 2026 as they visit Jerez this weekend for their penultimate round.

By virtue of their long summer break sees that series within a series event run on longer than most as another twenty-nine strong GT4 powered entry will line up this weekend at the Circuito do Jerez Angel Nieto for their two hour long races this weekend.

 

Amongst this entry again sees another four or five Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 powered entries with one Racar Motorsport entry again yet to be confirmed so upon previous rounds, we are looking at more likely four entries.

Miguel Ferreira and Fernando Soares are back with their #007 NGT Motorsport Am class entry alongside the #777 RV7 entry for Ruben Vaquinhas and Mico Mineiro. The Portuguese Racar Motorsport team will again field a two-car entry for both Vasco Oliveira and Manuel Giao within their #28 Bronze class entry alongside the Pro classed #77 entry for drivers Mathieu Martins and Anton Morsing.

 

Championship wise and with this round being another joint Super Cars Espana, Super Cars Iberian and CPV Series round, but the Espana Series will conclude this time around with Oliveira an AMR powered teams best championship chance within that series as he’s presently sitting top of the GT4 Bronze table and ten points clear of his nearest rival.

As for the other two series, there are still four races to go within each so much can still change within their running orders with Oliveira again heading the bronze class within the Iberian Series but also with Martins/Morsing and Vaquinhas still possibilities should results go their way. Vaquinhas also has a dominating class lead within the CPV Series.
