Just the solo Aston within this weekends Miami 500
Thursday, February 08, 2024
Jim Hamman will be the sole Aston Martin Racing powered representative within this weekend’s Miami 500 season opener to the FARA USA Series from the Homestead Miami Speedway.
Again racing his distinctly liveried #172 TLM Racing prepared AMR Vantage GT4 with the GT2-A Class, the Floridian racer will be competing within a diverse eleven class, forty-five car strong entry within the sprint series with cars. This weekend’s entry will see the likes of Praga’s, Wolf prototypes, GT3, GT4, Cup homologated cars through to saloon-based racers.
The event will see testing on Friday ahead of three thirty-minute races across Saturday and Sunday before concluding with a two-hour endurance race for those who’ve entered that race, which this time does not include the Aston Martin.
Last year, this event saw three such Aston Martins compete but time since has seen one enter the IMSA VP Racing Sportscar Challenge Series (For Scott Blind and Ruckus Racing) with the father/son O’Shaunessy crew electing to stay within the WRL Series instead.
