Aston Martins back around the Nordschleife at NLS Prologue test last week

Saturday, March 23, 2024

Last week’s Nurburgring Langstrecken Serie Prologue test gave us bother some stunning photos of various Aston Martin Racing powered teams at the test as well some additional information as to who was there and in which car.

The Walkenhorst Motorsport team were again very prominent at the Nurburgring and Nordschleife circuit as they continued with their earlier testing at the circuit as well having confirmed a full Pro driver line up for this year’s twenty-four hour at the circuit in June.

The likes of Chandler Hull, Nicki Thiim, Nico Hantke, Dennis Bulatov, Mike David Ortmann, amongst others had all taken their turn behind the wheel of at least one of their new AMR Vantage GT3’s that will see 2024 commitments made into these and other European based series.

The locally based Prosport Racing team were also in attendance with their older Vantage GT3 and GT4 cars – so far, they haven’t released any names that will be competing with them this year, but this week’s test saw differing young lady drivers make their mark within the team – and not necessarily those who raced with the team last year either!!

News from the Doerr Motorsport team also saw them confirm a three-driver line up within one of their remaining 17A variant AMR Vantage GT4’s that they will race within the NLS Series with drivers Nick Wuestenhagen an Aaron Wensich confirmed alongside the already publicised Oskar Sandberg.

With political and entry level issues sadly blighting the opening round of the NES last weekend, let’s hope that sense is allowed to prevail, and each competing side can race together in harmony around this iconic circuit.
