Lower numbers but finer AMR quality as ADAC GT Masters and GT4 Germany kicks off at Oschersleben this weekend

Thursday, April 25, 2024

Five years since we last saw the Aston Martin Racing brand represented within the ADAC GT Masters Series with Prosport Performance as it was then (now Prosport Racing), this weekend we see the Walkenhorst Motorsport team rekindle that relationship as they enter two of their new 2024 Vantage GT3’s.

Back then, we saw the name of Mike David Ortmann coming to the forefront of the supporting ADAC GT4 Germany Series and at this weekend’s opening from Oschersleben, we see David Ortmann part of the Walkenhorst GT3 assault.

Partnering multiple series racer Denis Bulatov aboard the #34 car, they will come into this weekend’s two race format with American Chandler Hull alongside former Doer Motorsport ADAC GT4 Germany racer Nico Hantke aboard the #35 car.

Just sixteen GT3 entries are listed for this first round of a six-round season.

Like the GT Masters above, the ADAC GT4 Germany Series has also seen a downturn on entry numbers overall and from the Aston Martin Racing stable as this weekend the AMR brand is represented by just one crew.

What this series lacks in numbers, sees the #55 ooze in quality after the East Side Motorsport team entered into a partnership of their own with German racing powerhouse Zakspeed to come up with a driver pairing of Jan Marschalkowski and Phillip Gogollok within the #55 car.

One of twenty-four entries for this weekend’s opener, the GT4 Germany Series has never disappointed in competitive racing.
