Comtoyou back in DTM this weekend from the Nurburgring

Wednesday, August 06, 2025

Also racing at the Nurburgring this weekend will be the DTM Series and their twenty-two provisional entries including the two Comtoyou Racing Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3’s of Gilles Magnus and Nicolas Baert.

This will be their fifth round of an eight-round season after having raced last time out around the Norisring back in Early July.

Despite the specific nature of that circuit, the AMR Vantage of Baert showed his best qualifying performances to date achieving a third row start in that weekends opener but was unfortunately disqualified from qualifying ahead of race two on a technicality.

Despite all that early promise however, Baert was unable to complete race one whilst Magnus finished in the position from where he had started the race in P12 before himself not finishing race two on Sunday with Baert having to make do with a P14 position.

What will be interesting this weekend will be any change in performance from the Vantage GT3 chassis from the DTM’s use of the SRO Balance of Performance configurations after recent positive changes in that chassis within the GT World Challenge Series suddenly making the Vantage more competitive that what it had been so far in that series.
