Another healthy AMR attendance reported for both IMSA support series at Roar test
Wednesday, January 07, 2026
The VP Racing Sportscar Challenge Series will be on the only ones actually racing for the first time at the Roar test from Daytona as they see out their opening two races of the season.
With a twenty LMP3 and GT4 (GSX) car entry, we will again find just one AMR powered team within the GSX class as the 89X Motorsport entry for team boss Mike Fitzpatrick takes over that mantel from the Rebel Rock Racing team with their older generation #89 Vantage GT4.
The Michelin Pilot Challenge runners attending the Roar will, however, only be there for the benefit of pre first round testing and amongst the thirty-four GS (GT4) class runners being listed as attendees, we see a healthy five car AMR entry.
The Rebel Rock Racing team of Frank Depew/Robin Liddell and Andrew Davis will apparently leave their new Vantage GT3 in the garage for a little bit longer as they return with their #71 Vantage GT4 whilst the 89X Motorsport and the Van Der Steur AMR team complete those returning to the series from last season for drivers Mike Fitzpatrick/Johan Schwartz and Ben/Christine Sloss respectively.
Newcomers to the series for 2026 include the Heart of Racing AMR of Hannah Grisham and Hannah Greenemeir as well as the Archangel Motorsport prepared Circle H Racing AMR entry of David Hampton/Thomas Merrill/Martin Sarukhanyon in their #14 car.
