„Abu Dhabi was a little bit disappointing for the entire team, so it’s great to put the car on pole here. I live only ten minutes away from the track, so this is very special for me. The new track layout is just great. Silverstone is a track with a lot of character and with the new layout of the track, it just getting better here.“
Tomas Enge drove the Aston Martin in qualifying two and brought the car into the qualifying three session, before handing over the car to Turner for the final qualifying three. Enge: “I had some bad luck in Q2 with traffic, but managed to bring the car into Q3. Darren then did a perfect job and put the car on the pole. Now we hope that we can finish the qualifying race in a good position.”
Stefan Mücke / Christoffer Nygaard also showed a great performance, Mücke was the quickest driver in Q1. In Q2 Nygaard was in promising position to bring the car into Q3, but was knocked out in the final minutes of the Q2 and will start into qualifying race from tenth position with Mücke.
