British GT Finale

Saturday, September 13, 2014

With todays qualifying now confirmed for the final round of the 2014 Avon British GT Championship at Donington the grid has presented itself nicely to ensure us a nail biting and hopefully entertaining conclusion to the season with ultimately the confirming of the, as yet undecided GT3 AND GT4 Champions.

By the slenderest of margins (just three thousandths of a second to be exact) Oman Racing's Ahmad Al Harthy and Michael Caine slotted their Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 onto pole position and importantly ahead of current championship leading BMW Z4 of Marco Attard/Alex Sims who will themselves start from P2. Outgoing 2013 champion Andrew Howard will be starting in P3.

Further back along the grid the GT4 championship battle will also be concluded between the season long rivalling TF Sport V8 Vantage of Andrew Jarman and Devon Modell and the championship leading Beeechdean V8 Vantage of Ross Wylie and Jake Giddings with the Beechdean boys again starting ahead of Jarman/Modell.
