Filling in the blanks
Wednesday, January 27, 2016
With only about seven or so weeks to go before the British GT Media Day (at a circuit as yet unconfirmed) and even fewer before the GT Cup Championship's Media Day at Brands Hatch in late February, there still seems to be a few too many TBA's that need filling.
Now that may be just one or both drivers or even confirmation needed from a regular team with the starting grid now obvioulsy filling up with constant announcements from the organisers.
According to my Post-It Note this is what we know so far:-
GT3
Beechdean - Andrew Howard / Ross Gunn
TF Sport - Derek Johnston / Jonny Adam
TF Sport - Mark Farmer / Jon Barnes
PFL Motorsport - Peter Littler / TBA
GT4
Beechdean - Jordan Albert / Jack Bartholomew
Beechdean - TBA / TBA
SuperRacing - James Holder / Matthew George
Nothing confirmed but entries expected from
Oman Racing / Motorbase GT3 (1-2 cars?)
Academy Motorsport GT4 and/or GT3(?)
Stratton Motorsport - TBA / TBA
Stratton Motorsport - TBA / TBA (? Half season entry)
MacMillan Racing - TBA / TBA
MacMillan Racing - TBA / TBA
Over in the GT Cup Championship, Horsepower Racing's Paul Bailey (with presumably Andy Schulz) has confirmed to us their return to the GT Cup in 2016 in order to defend their GTO title. Paul did say however that he is at present undecided upon which platform they would race in - the V12 Vantage in GTO or his Ferrari 458 Challenge in another.
MacMillan Racing have also stipulated a desire to compete in the championship with their new GT4 with an yes yet undefined driver line up.
Only time will tell whether or not all of the above (if not more) shall materialise in time for the 2016 seasons.
