Confirmation that Motorbase GT are still scheming a 2016 season

Details lifted from the team's Facebook account today have cleared any doubt that Motorbase are at least still developing some sort of 2016 GT programme by setting off yesterday to a sunnier Portimao, Portugal and some winter testing with both their BTCC and GT cars!!

Despite no official word from the team since the Gulf 12H to any confirmed domestic or european programme, the following phrases at least offer some comfort to those asking.

"And off they go! After a very busy week we're all packed and on the way southwards for some serious testing. We have both the BTCC cars & the Aston Martins going to Portimao in Portugal for a few days"

There is however, no news yet of any return of Ahmad Al Harthy and his Oman Racing
