Adam loses out on WEC drive at Silverstone as well (updated)

Tuesday, April 12, 2016

Following the announcement earlier this week that due to the clashing calendar with the British GT opener at Brands Hatch, AMR driver Jonny Adam would be replaced within the Beechdean car for the European Le Mans Series opener at Silverstone this weekend it has now been confirmed that he will also lose out on his seat for the WEC opener as well for the same reason.

The seed of doubt was first sown earlier today when Aston Martin Racing published their media briefing for the Silverstone event with a foot note of the driver listings which sadly omitted Adam's name from the #97 car. See previous piece on The-Advantage for details.

Going from what would have been a very strenuous triple header over the weekend Adam will now find himself solely racing in the TF Sport V12 Vantage GT3 alongside Derek Johnston in the two hour race (on Sunday) at Brands Hatch.

Confirmation of this fact has just come through from AMR who have confirmed that his pre-contractural obligations and logistical issues were the causes of this action by the factory but also goes on to say that Adam will return to the #97 ready for round two of the WEC at Spa.
