Last minute GT3 Le Mans Cup testing for TF Sport

Thursday, May 05, 2016

Continuing to share the hospitality extended to them by Solaris Motorsport, UK based team TF Sport today shared a test session with the Italian GT squad at Imola as each prepared for the next race at the Italian circuit later this month.

Last time out in the International GT Open series opener at Estoril, the bright blue and yellow liveried car received significant front end damage in qualifying after Salih Yoluc placed a wheel onto some wet grass spearing the car off into the armco.

After utilising the facilities extended to them by TeamAMR's latest Partner Team in to complete the required repairs TF Sport have today embarked on the first of an expected two day test at Imola all in preparation for the opening race of the new Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup series that kicks off there next weekend alongside the European Le Mans Series.

With the TF Sport transporter still not having returned to base since the GT Open race nearly two weeks ago they still had the two V12 Vantage GT3's on board that the team will use in the new ACO sanctioned series. The second, grey coloured car will be used by team returnees Andrew Jarman and Devon Modell from about the third race of the series - the Salih Yoluc / Euan Hankey car is a full season entry.

Solaris Motorsport meantime will return to Imola for the second round of the Italian GT championship at the end of May having had an eventful yet relatively successful opening round of the series at nearby Monza.
