TF Sport ramping up ready for tomorrows GT3 LMC opener
Friday, May 13, 2016
TF Sport, the sole Aston Martin Racing representative at the ACO's GT3 Le Mans Cup series opener have been quietly ramping up their speed and confidence during todays two free practice sessions at Imola in readiness for tomorrow's qualifying and race.
Having privately tested at the circuit just last week the continuing dry weather that they have been fortunately to have had has allowed the Salih Yoluc and Euan Hankey driven V12 Vantage GT3 to climb the eleven car lap charts to be in a great position for tomorrow's events.
After their 23 laps completed in FP1 the #34 car was 5th in table just under a second behind the leading #51 AF Corse Ferrari 488 of Thomas Flohr and former AMR WEC driver Francesco Castellacci.
Later this afternoon the team managed to complete further 28 laps in FP2 to climb the timing screen to finish P3 overall, just three tenths behind the now quickest FFF Racing McLaren 650S of Hiroshi Hamaguchi and Adrian Quaife-Hobbs.
The team will now prepare for the thirty minute qualifying session just before lunch tomorrow followed by the start of their two race starting at 17:00Hrs local.
The race will be streamed in full via the series website at http://www.gt3lemanscup.com or live on MotorsTV for those in Europe.
