CMR Team by Eurasia enter parallel Asian GT series

Friday, January 20, 2017

Just a month after announcing their participation within the Blancpain GT Asia Series, CMR Team by Eurasia have this week also announced an parallel GT programme within the more established GT Asia Series.

With drivers James Cai and Kenneth Lim pairing up again this year, the Eurasia prepared Aston Martin Racing V12 Vantage GT3 team will now face a twelve round season (across both series) with visits to circuits in China, Thailand, Japan and Malaysia. On top of this news, the team have also confirmed an intention to field a second AMR GT3 platform within the series before its official test in Sepang at the beginning of March with the first rounds at the circuit just a few days later.

This news restores the AMR brand participation within the GT Asia after an ad-hoc approach from Australian based AMR newcomers Miedecke Motorsport last year and Craft Bamboo Racing's twin car effort the year before, where driver Darrly O'Young secured the championship at the final round.

The team remains the sole AMR entry into any of the global Blancpain GT Series which itself kicks off in early April.
