R-Motorsport's GT4 out of Bathurst 12h (Confirmed)

A bizarre looking but none the less very heavy impact into the concrete barrier for Jan Struve in the #62 R-Motorsport Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT4 has sadly left the car in an unrepairable condition for Sundays race.
Struve was had just completed a lap in the final Free Practice session before Qualifying when he was accelerating hard up the hill on the Mountain Straight when cameras showed the car suddenly spearing to drivers right into the wall before traversing across track for another significant secondary impact into the opposing wall but on the same front right quarter.
Thankfully Struve was seen to remove himself, unaided from the car before being taken to the circuit medical centre for checks.
The team have since confirmed to race officials that the car is not repairable in time but more importantly that Struve has suffered no significant injury as per the Press Release from Aston Martin Racing below.
