Busy weekend of Motorsport coming up - British GT opener

Monday, April 10, 2017

So, no more surprise's for the entry list for this weekend's opening round of the British GT Championship up at Oulton Park for its more traditional Easter Bank Holiday weekend event then.

Five Aston Martin Racing cars figure on the confirmed 32 car entry list - two GT3's from reigning GT3 Champions TF Sport, one GT3 and one GT4 from the AMR factory supported MacMillan Racing and a single GT4 from championship returnee's Academy Motorsport in what is in 2017 a GT4 prevalent grid.

The GT3 Championship will be made up of twelve cars featuring some of the newest GT3 technologies with some extremely capable drivers and not just necessarily restricted to the Pro side of the pairing either as this year we will be blessed with the sights and sounds of cars from the likes of Ferrari, Mercedes, Bentley, Lamborghini and the Ginetta stables.

Down in the GT4 category the grid is heavily McLaren and Ginetta biased but after of number of years of being Aston biased we suppose its only fair that others have their turn!

For some drivers, the weekend will also mean an extremely busy weekend fulfilling not only their own customer duties but also their factory duties at Silverstone - Jonny Adam!!

Please remember that at Oulton Park, the British GT meeting is split either side of Easter Sunday with practice and qualifying taking place on the Friday and Saturday - NO track activity on the Sunday but with a full race sheet on the Bank Holiday Monday.
