MacMillan Racing to take a sabbatical

Friday, December 22, 2017

Contrary to all the recent good news coming out of #TeamAMR with all these new cars, teams and driver line ups, it is with much regret that we learn of another fan favourite team pulling down the shutters (for the time being at least) on any return to competitive motorsport in 2018.

MacMillan Racing first appeared on the British GT scene back in 2016 with a single Generation AMR prepared Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT4 for young guns Jack Mitchell and Matty Graham before stepping up another gear in 2017 with a Prodrive supported GT4 and GT3 entry.

Last season saw Mitchell step up from the team's GT4 to win the GT3 Silver Cup with co driver James Littlejohn despite having to sit out the final round at Donington in September and it was hoped that 2018 would be yet another year of improvement for the team.

We understand that the team's two cars and equipment has all been 'mothballed' whilst other ‘options’ are considered but it is unlikely that we will see them race next year.
