Breukers and Littman join the AMR Festival at Le Mans
Monday, April 23, 2018
With the 2018 running of the Aston Martin Racing Festival at Le Mans less than two months away, one of the biggest names so far has declared their intention to run at the 24 Hours of Le Mans support race programme event.
Talented GT, saloon car and LMP driver Rik Breukers has today confirmed that he will team up with Matt Nichol-Jones' Academy Motorsport team to run in one of their V8 Vantage GT4's at the June spectacle with fellow 24H Series driver JM Littman. Well versed in series such as Creventic's 24H, the Lamborghini Super Trufeo as well as the 24 Hours of Le Mans itself, the young Dutchman will be certainly no slouch around the Le Sarthe circuit.
Out testing at Silverstone today were also two of 22GT Racing's V8 Vantages which will also be attending the Festival in June with (we believe) the owner/driver of car in front in the photo above again testing solely for the purpose of attending the Festival.
Finally, and also released today was confirmation from Team Brit that the venue of their first GT racing event in their new AMR V8 Vantage GT4 will be at the Aston Martin Owners Club meeting at Oulton Park in mid May as they also make their first tentative steps towards the AMR Festival.
Military veterans Warren McKinlay, Jimmy Hill, Martyn Compton and Jamie Falvey are the first Team BRIT drivers to step up to GT4 racing this year and will make up the team at Oulton Park.
We wish these guys well in their new GT endeavours.
