Three AMR GT4's for IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge visit to Sebring

Sunday, July 12, 2020

This second round of the 2020 Michelin Pilot Challenge from Sebring should have been held over four months ago had it not been for the COVID-19 pandemic but next weeks see's the IMSA Series finally make that visit but sadly with another reduced entry.

With the GT4 Series again supporting the headline Weathertech Sportscar Championship, which in itself will again not see the Aston Martin Racing Vantage GTD entry from the Heart of Racing Team within its field for the second time since this series came back to racing, we see only three AMR GT4 cars from two teams who will make the trip back to Florida for this second round of their season.

One of those teams is local team Automatic Racing who return with their two new AMR Vantage GT4's for Rob Ecklin Jnr / Ramin Abdolvahabi and Gary Ferrera / Kris Wilson. They will be joined by Kohr Motorsport's Nate Stacey and Kyle Marcelli meaning that the #43 Cameron Racing entry for Greg Liefooghe / Ari Balogh will not be there this time around. We understand that that is just a logistical issue with the team and shipments of car parts seeing that they are presently at VIR with the GT4 America Series.

This two hour race will take place on Friday 17th July starting 14:30hrs local.
