Final LM24 dress rehearsal for TF Sport with a GT Open visit to the Red Bull Ring

Wednesday, September 09, 2020

After their double podium success at the last round of the GT Open Series from Paul Ricard in the south of France two weeks ago, Sussex based TF Sport make the trip over to the Red Bull Ring in Austria for the third round of the Series this weekend and a final 'dress rehearsal' for part of their team and two drivers ahead of the following weekend's 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Competing in one of the teams Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT3's, drivers Salih Yoluc and Charlie Eastwood enjoyed the spoils of their first overall race win in the first race of the weekend and followed that up with a P3 finish in the second race to now lay second overall in the table after two of the scheduled six rounds.

More importantly to the team perhaps than just that is that the following weekend is of course the rescheduled date for the FIA World Endurance Championship from the Circuit de La Sarthe and the 24Hours of Le Mans.

Racing in that Championship in their near identically liveried AMR Vantage GTE, drivers Yoluc, Eastwood and Jonny Adam presently lay P2 in the GTE Am Class after their third place finish at Spa Francorchamps last time out but with an 18 point deficit and only the Le Mans and Bahrain rounds of the 2019-20 season remaining, every point counts!

Today, Yoluc posted renders of his revised livery for the #90 AMR Vantage GTE ahead of track proceedings at Le Mans - details that will be covered later in the week. In the meantime, events at the Red Bull Ring take precedence as there is a racing groove top be found before they even find themselves in France for what will be an extraordinary event!

The GT4 cars that compete within the usually supporting GT Open Cup Series are not scheduled to be at this event in Austria.
