Some more AMR family news of this week!

With Aston Martin Racing’s American Customer and Partner teams already underway in IMSA and soon to be underway this weekend with the start of the SRO’s GT World Challenge, GT America and GT4 America Series from Sonoma, this week has also seen some of the first pre-season testing take place across Europe as series closer to home look to kick start their season.
Straight off the back of their double – double header in the Asian Le Mans Series at Dubai and Yas Marina has had the Garage 59 team conduct a one car – two-day test at Monza this week ahead of their expected confirmation within this season’s GT World Challenge Europe Series that starts at the Italian circuit in mid-April.The decision to fly one car back from the Middle East and into Italy alongside many of the team and drivers after their exploits in the ALMS saw sense to many within rather than have everyone ‘stagnate’ at an airport hotel for ten days at this crucial part of pre-season.
We know that Valentin Hasse-Clot was one of the attending drivers in their available AMR Vantage GT3 after some superb shots from Drew Gibson were posted on-line but that is all we do know for sure as the team look to finalise line ups in various series for the coming season. From what one insider within the team was prepared to reveal, their now obvious omission from the GT world Challenge Series will be countered with potentially multiple cars in multiple series and events across Europe as their GT3 was co tested alongside their Vantage GT8R.
Closer to home today in the UK saw both the new Century Motorsport and Feathers Motorsport teams test their new AMR Vantage GT4’s at Donington Park today ahead of their full season entry into the GT Cup Championship.
David Holloway and Adam Hatfield took their brand new and as yet unliveried GT4 out for its first test miles at a damp and chilly looking Donington circuit whilst James Guess and Darren Turner turned their first real laps together in the colourful Feathers Car.
With the change of dates for the 2021 Le Mans 24Hr firmly in the news this week, it was only fitting that AMR Factory driver Ross Gunn posted images of him shaking down at least one of the AMR Vantage GTE’s that are scheduled to take part in either the World Endurance Championship or European Le Mans Series this year.
