Racing Spirit of Leman confirm their two Aston Martin FFSA GT4 and GT4 European effort in 2022

Saturday, November 27, 2021

Michelin Le Mans Cup LMP3 team Racing Spirit of Leman yesterday become the latest team in a (hopefully) long line of many to confirm a new pathway for next season along with Aston Martin Racing as their supplier of choice for an extended 2022 season expected to consist of both the FFSA GT4 Series in France and the GT4 European Series wider afield with the AMR Vantage GT4.

Having already taken delivery of one of their two new AMR Vantage GT4’s at the start of the month, it was straight into winter testing for the Swiss based team with a two-day test at Le Castellet alongside another new AMR convertee in GPA Racing and the now established AGS Events Racing team with their four Aston’s between them.

Confirming the two car joint SRO Series programme for next season, the Patrick Barbier ran team also confirmed Swiss racer Konstantin Lachenauer as their first confirmed driver after his impressive performances in the GT4 European Series last season with AGS Events Racing.

Speaking with those at the Prodrive factory, the team’s second GT4 is due to be shipped out over the turn on the year and is part of a considerable ramp up in car production at the facility that now sees their technicians working well into the night to get a 'significant number' of new GT4 platforms out to their new clients around the world in time for pre-season testing.

We also understand that there will be further announcements from teams, either expanding their AMR commitment or teams (like Racing Spirit of Leman) moving across to Aston Martin Racing, as early as next week.
