First entries confirmed by the AGS Events Racing Team for the GT4 European Series
Thursday, March 03, 2022
Continuing todays GT4 European Series theme also saw some further entries confirmed by the series, this time from the French based AGS Events Racing team.
Having already confirmed a four car Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT4 season sell-out within the parallel FFSA GT4 Series earlier this year, today’s confirmation saw just two pairings confirmed for the series within the Silver Cup and Pro-Am classes.
Hugo Conde returns to Nicolas Gomar’s team for a second season after a sadly ill-fated audition into GT4 racing last season where repeated driver error and technical issues blighted the Conde / Akhil Rabindra pairing for most of the season. This year Conde is paired with a young former French F4 racer in Noah Andy who will also be conducting his GT4 audition when the series commences at Imola in early April.
The second entry from the team sees another returnee to the AGS Events Racing team as Julien Lambert returns but swaps series from the FFSA GT4 to the GT4 European Series for the first time having raced the French national GT4 series in 2020 with the team.
He will be paired with former Toyota GR Supra GT4 driver Wilfried Cazalbon who switches to the Aston Martin for 2022 having finished third in class at the end of last year and just ahead of team boss Gomar and Eric Herr in the Championship.
These entry confirmations bring the Aston Martin ‘head count’ up to five cars now for the Series with multiple car entries still expected from another three of four teams with the AGS Events Racing team still looking for a third – Pro-Am entry into the series.
