D'Station Racing again indicating a hugely busy AMR undertaking next season

Saturday, November 19, 2022

With the 2022 racing season all but over, we can all wait for obviously announcements to be made like with what we had earlier this week with GMB Motorsport announcing an ELMS campaign next season as well as Team TGM confirming their attendance at the Rolex 24 with TF Sport in an Aston Martin Racing Vantage GTD.

Sometimes however, we get a little innocent looking post upon social media which ties up with ‘thing’s already heard elsewhere and although it cannot be taken as official confirmation from the team, gives us an expectation for the new season ahead.

With one final visit to the racetrack this season at the finale of the Super Taikyu Series at Suzuka next weekend, Tomonobu Fujii posted an image of their new for 2023 D’Station Racing race suits which are being ordered for several series.

Primarily, we see a new suit design for an apparent World Endurance Championship return with their Aston Martin Racing Vantage GTE (presumably too with TF Sport) after their best season to date in the Championship this year as well as another Asian Le Mans Series precursor campaign in a GT3 car before that (query with TF Sport again).

Then, replicating what else the Fuji based team did this season with another GT3 campaign within the GT World Challenge Asia Series as a return to the Super Taikyu Series for at least one, maybe two of the AMR fleet again with the team running both a Vantage GT3 and Vantage GT8R within that series this season.

Nothing official like we say but the intent appears to be there again.
