Just the trio of Aston Martins this time around in NLS3

It’s a quick return to the Nurburgring Nordschleife this weekend for the third round of the 2023 Nurburgring Langstrecken Series (nee VLN) with another bumper grid of multi-class GT and tin-top based cars.

Just two weeks since the last round where we had five Aston Martin Racing powered cars competing within SP9 class for GT3 based cars and both the SP8T and SP10 class cars for those based around the SRO regulated GT4 class of car.

Sadly, it’s not that higher number of AMR entries as both the #24 Doer Motorsport Vantage GT3 car is missing after their ill-fated SP9 Pro debut entered in the barrier during Friday’s testing as well as the #176 SP10 GT4 from the locally based Prosport Racing team.

That said, Prosport Racing do again field their full season #17 SP9 entry for drivers Maxime Dumarey and Christoph Breuer but this weekend’s presence of Mike David Ortmann takes the #17 car from the Am Class to the Pro-Am class instead.

Then, within the team’s #175 car we will see Hugo Sasse pair with Guido Dumarey within that SP10 class entry and we also see a different line up within the #150 Doer Motorsport who will this week run as the solo entry within their SP8T class as well.

For the last two races Ben Dorr has been partnered by Theo Nouet but for this race Nouet has been replaced by German racers Stefan Kenntemich and Rudi Adams for Saturday’s four-hour race.
