Coleman withdraws his Aston Martin from CoTAs GT4 America Series event this weekend?

Saturday, May 20, 2023

Disappointing news out of the Circuit of the Americas overnight as it appears that the Todd Coleman led Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 crew have been pulled from this weekend’s GT4 America Series events at the circuit.

Citing what appears to be a continuing point of contention between Coleman, the Archangel Motorsport team and the SRO race officials over the driver grading status of Coleman’s co-driver – the gold rank Billy Johnson, it appears that an impasse has now been reached over the consistent application of the rules at the three rounds of the series so far which has compelled Coleman to withdraw his entry.

Whether this is just a one-off event or a season long decision – that is yet to be seen but is still a disappointment for all concerned whatever the case.

This new reduces the AMR powered crews down to seven within the series. If Coleman still runs within the individual GT America series is also yet to be seen.
