Back to their Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 for Doer Motorsport

Saturday, August 19, 2023

Following on from our earlier ADAC GT4 Germany Lausitzring round preview and that only the Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 cars from the Prosport Racing team were to be in attendance this weekend, the Doer Motorsport team have since shed some more light into their omission from the entry list.

It has since been confirmed that an earlier joint decision was taken within the team not to continue with their ADAC GT4 Germany commitment for their #007 entry for Ben Dorr and Theo Nouet and place those efforts into something bigger and demanding of them till season end.

A poor start to their GT4 season for the young pairing has left them well down the championship order and despite a podium finish at one of the Nurburgring races last time out, the team felt that the points deficit was too large for them to have any viable chance of securing the Driver’s Championship at the end of the season.

With a drivers roster yet to be confirmed, the team will now focus their efforts into the remaining rounds of the Nurburgring Langstrecken Serie with their Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 that brothers Phil and Ben Dorr have already raced together (with AMR factory driver Darren Turner) at earlier rounds of the NLS Series including the 24 hour in May.

As already listed, that will begin as early as next month when NLS rounds six and seven run back-to-back over the weekend of September 9th and 10th.
