D'Station Racing back in the news as they plan ahead to 2024

Great to see the D’Station Racing team back in the news again today, planning ahead for both the remainder of this season and the start of next with their Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3.

Today saw the Japanese based team confirm their entry into what will effectively be next season’s Asian Le Mans Series, a series that continues to change again for the good as the world continues its pathway out of a global pandemic that saw the series react accordingly over the last couple of years.

With a new calendar schedule that sees the series this time starting at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia for the opening two hours over the 2nd and 3rd December 2023 before moving back to more familiar circuits of late in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi for another trio of quick-fire races around the Dubai Autodrome and Yas Marina Circuits over the 4th, 10th and 11th February 2024.

Running again with Satoshi Hoshino and Tomonobu Fujii behind the wheel, the two immediate questions that spring to mind will be the identity of the (as yet) undefined silver ranked driver as well as who will be preparing their race cars this time seeing that we believe that TF Sport will be ‘cup tied’ to Corvette through their World Endurance Championship commitments next season or maybe that they will utilise their own squad from back home now that travel restrictions have been all but lifted?

As a continuation of this season racings commitments and looking ahead to these announced commitments for next also sees the team confirm their intention to continue within the GT World Challenge Asia Series beyond that of the four Japan Cup rounds to take in the Sepang circuit at the GTWCAsia Series concluding round later this September.

This and other stories around the D’Station Racing team being determined to remain aligned with the AMR brand after the demise of the GTE class at the end of this season can only be applauded.
