Prosport Racing extend the festive news with some GT Masters possibilities for 2024

They say that all good things come in threes as the German based Prosport Racing team today became the third Aston Martin Racing powered team to confirm an extended racing commitment for the 2024 season this week.

Not content with running two championship winning crews within the ADAC GT4 Germany Series with an AMR Vantage GT4 and a GT3 class winning crew within the Nurburgring Langstrecken Serie next season, sees the Christophe Esser led squad go back to the ADAC GT Masters Series with a proposed up to two car AMR Vantage GT3 Evo effort.

Having ran with the then new Vantage GT3 car back in 2019 (under its former team name of Prosport Performance), that also saw a two-car effort from the team but was cut short after poor performances on track from the new car and some internal wranglings behind the scenes between the team and the AMR squad back in the UK saw that effort end before the end of the season. Since then, the team has only entered a solo round of the series for one of its then DTM Trophy GT4 racers.

Team Principal Chris Esser: "The Evo package will eliminate some of the car's weaknesses for the 2024 season, as the car has not been able to cope with the Pirelli tyres so far, which we have painfully experienced in our previous starts in the ADAC GT Masters. We can't give any details about our line-up at the moment, but we are currently putting together the best possible line-up for the ADAC GT Masters so that we can start with a competitive team."

This will be in addition to their proposed ADAC GT4 Germany, GT Winter Series and NLS efforts already announced.

We just wonder whether there is enough time over the weekend to squeeze in a few more AMR powered team announcements?!!
