Seven Aston Martins for the next attempt around the Nordschleife in NLS 3 this weekend

Three weeks after the unfortunate weather affected and shortened version of the ADAC Ravenol 24H Nurburgring, the next round of the Nordschleife Langstrecken Serie is now upon us from the infamous German circuit with another healthy line up of Aston Martin Racing powered entries.

Preparing for this Saturdays four hour and third round of the NLS series sees up to seven Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 and GT4 powered crews hope for some summer seasonal weather around the historic Nordschleife circuit after torrential rain and then fog blighted the 24H event earlier this month.

Today’s published entry list shows the locally based Prosport Racing team again entering a selection of GT3 and GT4 cars alongside a sole GT3 entry from the Walkenhorst Motorsport team and two GT4’s from the Dorr Motorsport team.

The Prosport #17 SP9 Pro-Am entry of Maxime Dumarey, Simon Balcaen and Marek Bockmann return whilst the #35 Walkenhorst SP9 Pro-Am entry sees a new combination of Sami-Matti Trogon, Benjamin Mazatis and Anders Buchardt compete together this time around.

The GT4 entries are then split across the two available SP9T and SP10 classes with #140 Prosport entry of Jorge Viebahn and Benjamin Hites race within the smaller SP8T (for enhanced GT4 cars) whilst the #169 Dorr car of Oskar Sandberg, Aaron Wenisch and Nick Wustenhagen; the #175 Prosport car of Marnix Hommerson and Damon Surzyshyn; #176 Prosport car of Harry Rice and Alexander Hommerson and the #179 Dorr car of Niklas Abrahamsen, Phil Dorr and Olaf Hoppleshauser all compete within the more prolific SP10 class.

Testing begins again on Friday ahead of Qualifying early Saturday morning with a noon (local) start for the race.
