D'Station Racing claim fourth at their home round of the Super GT Series

With team favourite Charlie Fagg again pairing up with co-driver Tomonobu Fujii for this round, the British/Japanese pairing were obviously keen to build upon their class win form last time out with what looked like their topflight Japanese GT season finally getting underway after something of a sluggish start to the year.
With the Dunlop shod Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 apparently struggling for pace during Free Practice (where they finished twenty third out of the twenty-seven GT300 cars) before the duo improved to take a second row start for the race – just 0.337 of a second off the pace.
Starting under glorious conditions, the #777 would not be able to improve upon that P4 position within the seventy-seven lap race to bring home another good result albeit just off the class podium in fourth.
Championship wise, these two good finishes from both Fujii and Fagg have elevated the #777 car up to fourth in the GT300 Drivers Championship, just one point behind the third placed crew as the series returns to Suzuka at the end of the month.
