Heartbreaking news from the Automatic Racing camp this week

Wednesday, September 25, 2024

We were deeply saddened last night to learn of the untimely passing of one active participant within the extended Aston Martin Racing family over in North America.

Ramin Abdolvahabi was one name well known and respected from within the Florida based Automatic Racing team and from within the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and World Racing League paddocks as a gentleman driver who liked to go motor racing in his spare time with the team’s various iterations of Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4.

Usually, co-driving alongside Stoner Car Care’s Rob Ecklin within the IMSA Series, their last outing together was a return to that series where the duo won the Bronze Cup class of entry at the second round of this season at Sebring.

We understand that his pancreatic cancer diagnosis was given to him soon after this racing ‘high’ at Sebring after which the professional renowned neurosurgeon retired from the limelight of the racing paddock to sadly pass earlier this week.

Our thoughts, like those of many others, are with those who knew him and loved him.

God Bless and thank you Ramin
