A near perfect race weekend for D'Station Racing in Super GT
Sunday, August 03, 2025
Racing this time at their local Fuji Speedway circuit, the Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 pairing of Tomonobu Fujii and Charlie Fagg would this time run solo in two individual races (approximately an hour long each) with the Saturday Practice, Qualifying and race conducted by just Fagg whilst Fujii would do similar on Sunday.
Racing their usual #777 GT300 class entry, the young Brit elevated his P13 Practice position into a second row (P4) starting position to his thirty-three lap, just 0.3 of a second off the lead pace.
That was ultimately converted into a P1 class win for Fagg, their second podium finish of the season so far after their combined P2 finish last time out at Fuji Speedway back in early May.
Next up earlier this morning was Team Manager Fujii who would be getting the same track time opportunities as those before him on Saturday but his local knowledge saw him establish his own commanding position at the top of the class leaderboard in Practice through to Pole Position for the race before converting that into a race win of his own to put the icing upon the cake for the weekend.
These results now see the #777 springboard up into second within the GT300 class, and just 4.5 points behind the pace setting #65 Mercedes AMG GT3 as the series quickly moves onto Suzuka for a more traditional round at the end of the month.
