A change of tack within the Super GT Series this weekend for its fourth round from Fuji Speedway

D’Station Racing’s involvement in this weekend’s fourth round of the Super GT Series concludes our mainstream involvement for Aston Martin Racing powered entries around the globe as they prepare to battle out something rather different.

Back to their home circuit of Fuji Speedway, the locally based team again prepare to field their #777 AMR Vantage GT3 within the GT300 class but this time around, there will be two individually driven sprint races over the course of both Saturday and Sunday to keep drivers Tomonobu Fujii and Charlie Fagg occupied.

The event is being listed as one driver will complete all of the driving duties per day but with that driver being swapped out with the other for the next day’s sessions but with the combined GT500 and GT300 entries running as one race (as is usually the case) for an indicated thirty-five lap distance on Saturday but with each class having their own fifty-minute separate races on Sunday.

Last time out in the series at their newly reinstated fly away event in Malaysia, that was a disappointing commitment for the team after their lowly P7 qualifying position only delivered upon a P6 eventual finish in class.

That result sees the pairing remain in third overall going into this round.
