A trio of second placed finishes not being quite enough for Feathers AMR in GT Cup
Tuesday, August 05, 2025
Three AMR Vantage GT4’s across the ages from both the Feathers Motorsport and Oselli Motorsport teams saw the two front runners compete within the GTH class whilst the oldest car from the Oselli stable made do with just the two sprint races for its solo driver.
Archie Clark was again behind the wheel of the #82 Feathers AMR with former AMR Academy Champion Tom Canning watching on whilst Matt Eddolls took the controls of his newer Vantage GT4 Evo across the sprint timetable before Sam Maher-Loughan partnered him within Sundays programme. Chris Valentine would drive the #96 Oselli AMR Vantage GT4 within the GTA class but he suffered a luckless weekend with two DNF’s against both of his sprint race starts.
Whilst the #95 Oselli crew managed to post a P4 in class result within race one on Saturday before a DNF of their own later on, the #82 car of Clark was able to secure for himself two P2 finishes in class, each time behind a differing Ginetta crew who proved to be just that little bit better.
It was a similar case on Sunday with another P4 finish for Eddolls and Maher-Loughan as well as another P2 finish ahead of them for both Clark and Canning.
The Championship will now take on its summer break before its penultimate round of the season from Donington Park where the Feathers crew will now have a battle on their hands to defend their now slender twenty-nine-point lead from both the chasing #99 and #30 Ginetta’s before the season finale from Snetterton in mid-October.
