Feathers Motorsport extend their GTH class points lead after GT Cups visit to Donington Park
Sunday, September 21, 2025
The Feathers Motorsport crew came out fighting this weekend at Donington as they looked to protect their reducing class lead going into that penultimate round of the GT Cup Championship.
Having lead their GTH class for so long, recent strong results from two of the new Ginetta GT4’s had seen the #82 Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 of Archie Clark and Tom Canning’s points margin reduce to just twenty-nine points going into this weekend’s four race round.
Racing the same race format of a shorter sprint race with just a solo driver before moving onto a double length endurance race with a compulsory pit stop (and driver change) per day, the #82 crew started the weekend well with a P2 finish in class for Clark in the first sprint race before ending as busy Saturday with a P3 finish in class for the opening endurance race of the weekend.
Sunday saw the tables redrawn with qualifying again opening the tracks proceedings ready for Clark to show his re-invigored pace to grab a class win this time around in the second sprint race of the weekend before he and Canning rounded the weekend off with a P2 finish in class in the second endurance round.
Their results and well as the results for both the #99 and #30 Ginetta’s sees the Feathers AMR crew now extend their championship lead back up to fifty-three points going into the final round of the season from Snetterton in mid-October.
Racing on Saturday’s programme only, the #95 Oselli Motorsport Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 Evo of Matt Eddolls and Sam Maher-Loughan secure their first class win with their new car this season within the first endurance round of the weekend.
