A quick shout of to those at Automatic Racing

A quick shout of to those at Automatic Racing

Just a quick shout out to all those at Automatic Racing over in Florida who last weekend completed their first race meeting after losing one of their own from cancer.

Competing within the World Racing League’s latest eight plus seven-hour race weekend from Watkins Glen, saw the team’s venerable #909 Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 take part against some much newer machinery and again proved that all that shines is not necessarily gold with a P11 overall finish is Sundays second race.

A renowned neurosurgeon by day and an avid motor racing fan at all other times, Ramin Abdolvahabi was a very familiar face anywhere within the David Russell lead team either within the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series or more of late within the WRL Series and his recent and untimely passing clearly affected many within the team.

Competing with their #909 car that still carried his name, the team’s resolve and indeed results last weekend would have surely raised a smile from the big man.

Five Aston Martins at this weekends WRL 8+7 from Watkins Glen

Five Aston Martins at this weekends WRL 8+7 from Watkins Glen

North America is certainly the place to be at this weekend if you want to see some Aston Martin Racing powered teams competing – not just at the IMSA finale for their Weathertech Sportscar Championship, Michelin Pilot Challenge Series and VP Racing Sportscar Challenge Series from Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

Whilst they command eleven such Vantage GT3’s and GT4 machinery, the latest round of the World Racing League will see a further five Vantage GT4’s do battle with another of the series hard graft double headers of this time eight hours on Saturday and seven hours on Sunday around the Watkins Glen International circuit in upstate New York.

Formally six Aston Martin’s but now apparently just five such cars compete in this weekend’s eighth round of the season (excluded the cancelled round from Daytona in June) where the likes of the 89X Motorsport team, TLM Racing and Automatic Racing will enter their own assortment of Vantage GT4/GT8R cars for their customer drivers.

As we have said before, the series is extremely efficient at giving us both a cohesive entry list and session/race results over the course of the season but the one thing (the many things we lack in fact) is of course a full driver roster.

What we do have however, is confirmation that the #89 89X Motorsport / #172 TLM Racing / #289 89X Motorsport / #888 TLM Racing and #909 Automatic Racing AMR Vantage GT4’s have been entered.

This event will also be the first for the Automatic crew since the untimely passing of Ramin Abdolvahabi just a couple of weeks ago so any GTO class win for those guys – well that would be a fitting tribute to their lost friend.

Aston success at end of WRL's latest 8+8Hr event over the bumps of Sebring

Aston success at end of WRL's latest 8+8Hr event over the bumps of Sebring

Last weekend’s penultimate round of the World Racing League Series from the Sebring International Raceway in Florida proved itself to be a successful one for many of the Aston Martin Racing runners, although some certainly didn’t have it all their own way.

For this events 8 + 8-hour race format drew the attention of over sixty runners within the WRL’s multi-class format with four Aston Martin Racing powered crews featuring amongst them with their allotted GTO class.

Two crews from the David Tuaty lead TLM Racing outfit saw the bright red #172 entry of Jim Hamman, JP Southern and Tom Herb take to the infamous bumps of the former wartime airfield circuit alongside the #888 ‘Mona’ with the young Zang O’Shaunessy behind the wheel of his father’s car, supported again by the more experienced racers in Pippa Mann and Troy Ermish.

The locally based Automatic Racing team were also in attendance with their older iteration #909 AMR Vantage GT4 that Ramin Abdolvahabi would have shared with Jim Cox for the weekend had it not been for repeated electrical/fuel pump issues that side lined the car for much of the weekend.

They in turn was joined by another new to AMR team in 89X Motorsport who had acquired both a Vantage GT8R and Vantage GT4 from New Zealand ahead of their racing debut in them lats weekend. More akin to American muscle cars, this would be a racing test for their driving duo of Mike Fitzpatrick and Sebastian Vassen.

In Saturdays opener, the #888 started the highest in P7 where they were able to come home P5 overall (P4 in class) despite the loss of their air conditioning whilst the debuting 89X #89 car home just two places behind in their first ever AMR powered race to finish P7 overall and P6 in class with the #172 finishing immediately behind them to make it a rather successful race 1 outing.

Sundays second eight-hour race was much the same, but the #172 car did start from pole position, but race issues and fatigue did creep in which did affect their respective results.

The #888 car again finished P4 in class (this time still on the lead lap as opposed to be being one lap down to the winners on Saturday whilst the #172 eventually finished P8 in class with the #89 crew P15.

The season moves onto the Circuit of the Americas where their 2023 season will conclude at the start of December with another 8 + 8 Hr event – sadly alongside the final race for the Aston Martin Racing supporting CSJ Motorsport crew of Cy and Susan Jary (amongst others) who have grown the American marketplace to the scale that we have seen this season and whose presence within the paddock will be sorely missed.

Those were the words from one team manager this weekend, not ours!!

For what nearly was at Watkins Glen in Michelin Pilot Challenge

For what nearly was at Watkins Glen in Michelin Pilot Challenge

Missing any round of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series is never a good thing but missing out on what become just another classic round of the inter GT4 and TCR classed series from Watkins Glen at the weekend was certainly at our loss.

Four rounds of the season crossed off already before the thirty-five strong grid made their way up to the up-state New York circuit for what was already then being forecasted as a potentially wet race.

The first race for the Van Der Steur team was however, to rebuild their #19 Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 after that chassis was written off after a robust interaction with a BMW M4 GT4 contender last time out a Detroit. A new chassis was eventually sourced by the team leaving them just enough time to deliver it to circuit for their drivers (Rory Van Der Steur and Austin McCusker) to shake down during the preliminary sessions.

We also welcomed back the #009 Stoner Car Care Aston from the Automatic Racing team with drivers Rob Ecklin and Ramin Abdolvahabi venturing something of a differing pathway this season, dipping in and out of the IMSA series now as they see fit with the remainder of the AMR powered grid again being taken up by the two Team AGM cars of Hugh/Matt Plumb (#46) with Ted Giovanis and Owen Trinkler (#64) alongside the #88 Archangel prepared car of Todd Coleman and Billy Johnson.

Within the red flag shortened Qualifying session on Friday and despite many TCR cars clocking laps faster than their GS class peers, it would be a great display from the AMR runners with the #46 TGM car finishing highest in P2, the #19 Van Der Steur next in P3 with the #009 Automatic car a very credible P9 ahead of what was being scheduled as another two-hour affair. Both the #64 and #88 cars got caught out by the incidents on track at the time, leaving them back in P15 and P16 respectively in class.

Come Saturday afternoon and (as predicted), the heavens opened which delayed the start still further after earlier delays on track but once underway the old adage of rain being the great equaliser again proved its point.

What happened next on track is now only our regret in not being around to see but somehow the #64 Team TGM car turned things about once Giovanis had handed over to Trinkler to the end. Cycling through the field for what was still a highly caution affected race with six periods of intervention – all at least 15 minutes long, saw the #64 car take (on track) the chequered flag to finish what appeared to be P3 overall.

Despite visiting the podium for the usual celebrations and whilst timing results were adjusted on-line, there appeared to be little understanding of the race results being adjusted for post-race technicalities. Eventually the news broke that both the #64 and #88 cars had been removed from the results for post-race infringements with their cars leaving the #19 car the highest placed finisher in P6 for a well-deserved boost of championship points for their efforts.

The #009 Automatic crew also had cause to celebrate as their P11 in class finish was enough to secure them the Bronze Cup win with the #64 being the last of the Aston Martin finishers in P9.

The next stop for the series will be from Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in just over two weeks’ time.

Four mixed generation Aston Martins at next round of WRL from Road America

Four mixed generation Aston Martins at next round of WRL from Road America

Four Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 crews prepare to hunker down at Road America this weekend for the latest gruelling round of the World Racing League.

This week featuring just a nine-hour race on Saturday followed by a further seven-hour race on Sunday, these four cars will again be just a small part of the sixty-two strong, multi-class entry with all the Aston’s competing within the twenty-five strong GTO class.

The older generation AMR Vantage GT4 from the Automatic Racing team will again see Steven Davison, Ramin Abdolvahabi and Rob Ecklin get behind the wheel of their #909 car, but they will be up against two of the newer generation Vantage GT4 cars from the TLM Racing team.

Their red liveried #172 car will be driven by Jim Hamman, Stephen Hamman alongside Tom Herb whilst the yellow #453 Ruckus Racing Aston will be driven again by Evan Stamer, Jaiden Beckman and Spike Kohlbecker.

The variant of car and driver identity of the #43 Prosport Competition Aston Martin remains to be confirmed.

UPDATE - the above photo does not answer the original question as their #43 will continue to be their usual normally aspirated 2016’ish AMR Vantage GT4 GA Spec car of old - but with another new livery!

Uretsky dominates Bronze Cup in GSX as the IMSA Sportscar Challenge races round two at Sebring this weekend

Uretsky dominates Bronze Cup in GSX as the IMSA Sportscar Challenge races round two at Sebring this weekend

It was a dominating performance from the Accelerating Performance Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 of Moisey Uretsky as he led his GSX Bronze Cup class through from start to finish at the second round of the IMSA VP Racing Sportscar Challenge from Sebring earlier today.

Having opened the new for 2023 series back at the opening IMSA round around Daytona International Speedway at the Roar before the 24 back in January, this weekend’s second round was unfortunately with the absence of live TV as they again played a supporting role, this time with the World Endurance Championship Official Prologue test at the circuit.

Joining Uretsky from the AMR camp was again Todd Coleman with his green liveried #69 Archangel prepared car alongside a series debutant from the Automatic Racing team with Ramin Abdolvahabi racing solo for the first time in recent years with the Stoner Car Care #09 car.

Competing again with two forty-five-minute races shoehorned into the track diary feature two three-hour WEC testing sessions one each day saw Uretsky qualify highest of the three for race one in 4th (P1 Bronze Cup) having been there or there abouts over the two proceeding Free Practice sessions too with Coleman P8 in class (P4 Bronze Cup) and Abdolvahabi P13 overall (P8 Bronze Cup).

From that early morning start for race one, Uretsky held station to claim one better than his best result in the series so far by taking the Bronze Cup win in fourth overall in GSX with Coleman taking P8 overall and P3 in Bronze Cup to compliment his P4 and P5 finishes so far. Abdolvahabi would come home P13 overall and P8 in Bronze Cup.

To wrap their weekend up under the still blazing Floridian sun saw the Miami based Uretsky repeat his accolades of the opening race for another P4 overall in GSX finish to claim a second Bronze Cup win ahead that of Coleman and Abdolvahabi who would finish P8/P5 and P10/P10 respectively.

There will now be a long break in the racing proceedings of this LMP3/GT4 based series with the next round due from the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park over the first weekend in July.

Three Aston Martins at second round of VP Sportscar Challenge from Sebring this weekend

Three Aston Martins at second round of VP Sportscar Challenge from Sebring this weekend

After the opening round of their inaugural 2023 season during the weekend of the Roar before the 24-official test at Daytona sees the IMSA VP Sportscar Challenge return this weekend for their second double header round from the Sebring International Raceway.

Having morphed from the old Prototype Challenge Series, this LMP3 and GT4, gentleman driver only series is similar to that of the SRO GT America Series that kicked off its season only last weekend from St Petersburg in Florida.

Fresh from the intense street circuit opener again sees the two Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4’s of both Moisey Uretsky (#44 Accelerating Performance) and the #69 Archangel Motorsport car of Todd Coleman return to the series after their debut battles in Daytona last time out.

At that event, it was the #44 car of Uretsky that claimed the highest honour between them by finishing second in race one, but it was the #69 car of Coleman who was the more consistent by taking a P4 and P5 over the course of the two 45-minute races.

This time, two Aston Martin’s become three as Ramin Abdolvahabi and his #09 Automatic Racing team take to the grid for what will be his first solo race having usually been paired with Rob Ecklin (and others) within the sister IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series.

This weekend’s races take place during the IMSA/WEC test weekend (both races on Sunday 12th March) at the circuit ahead of their main events over the following weekend.

A more diverse year of racing ahead for the Stoner Car Care crew

A more diverse year of racing ahead for the Stoner Car Care crew

Stoner Car Care racing fielded by Automatic Racing will start 2023 with the traditional appearance at Daytona with the IMSA Michelin Pilot Series “Roar Before the Rolex 24” this coming weekend.

The team, however, will not be chasing a finish in the Bronze Cup series, but instead will focus on a wider range of race types, including the World Racing League (WRL) endurance series, the new IMSA VP Racing Sportscar Challenge, and a smaller amount of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Series races.

All three race types are multi-level, multi-turn road course endurance races. The largest difference between the races will be the length of time spent racing and the number of drivers. The longest races will be the WRL Series ranging up to two 8-hour race days and commanding three different drivers to work together. The IMSA Michelin Pilot Series averages 4-hours with two drivers, and the new VP Racing Sportscar Challenge is a sprint race up to 1-hour long and only using one driver.

Stoner CEO and Driver, Robert Ecklin, Jr. will once again be behind the wheel for several of the races this season. “I’m always excited, always thankful to be out there on the track, because it’s not something you can assume will happen.” stated Ecklin. “I enjoy running with my co-driver, Ramin [Abdolvahabi], and I’ve been working with Dave Russell as a team owner for many years now. It's a wonderful relationship with a great cultured team of people that he has employed and brings to the track. Everybody works hard to put a good car on the track - a good car that is podium possible. So, if the drivers can deliver - and we’re always working like hell to deliver - that makes for a good weekend!”

When asked why the shift to a wider range of races this year, Ecklin responded...

“I race to extend the branding of our products, and personally to become a better race car driver: race craft, lap times, technique, understanding the car better, understanding tracks better, understanding the competitors. This will allow that expansion while presenting a new challenge.”

Three Aston Martins for WRL finale from CoTA this weekend

Three Aston Martins for WRL finale from CoTA this weekend

Two eight-hour races from the Circuit of the Americas this weekend sees out the World Racing League Series for the year with three Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4’s competing amongst the now traditional sell-out grid.

Having started at Nola Motorsport Park way back in February, a massive one hundred and fifty-eight hours of racing has already taken place within the series even before the capacity grid of ninety cars get to the CoTA circuit.

Again, competing their the older normally aspirated version of the Vantage GT4 sees the Automatic Racing team this time enter two cars with another from the Prosport Competition team. Neither team have been full season entrants – either by design or misfortune so this weekend’s events will simply be for personal and collective pride.

Each of the three Aston’s will compete again within the Series GTO class with the #43 Prosport car running with the crew of Mark Doran, Dwayne Moses, Sam Owen and Sean Gibbons.

Usually only running one car in the series to support their IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series endeavours sees the Florida based team enter two cars – one for their IMSA runners of Rob Ecklin an Ramin Abdolvahabi and another for Steven Davison and Brandon Kidd with team boss David Russell filling in if required (apparently).

At least four hours of track time is available to the teams on Friday before the final two eight hours races are ran over both Saturday and Sunday.

Both older generation AMR Vantage GT4's back within the WRL for the Sebring 8+8hr this weekend

Both older generation AMR Vantage GT4's back within the WRL for the Sebring 8+8hr this weekend

The penultimate round of the 2022 World Racing League Series takes the large, multi-class grid back to Florida this weekend for another 8 + 8-hour event around the challenging circuit of the Sebring International Raceway.

Like most of the season so far, we have seen both the Prosport Competition and Automatic Racing Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4’s dip in and out of the series but for this this weekend, both the (now) #43 Prosport and #909 Automatic cars are back in action with the #43 also sporting their new livery.

Both Astons are entered within the GTO class which this weekend features near half of the seventy-two total entries for this split race format event as Mark Doran, Dwayne Moses, Joseph Burris and Jim Cox reunite within the #43 car with the #909 car is driven by Ramin Abdolvahabi and team boss David Russell.

Two more Aston Martins join to witness the Volt Racing AMR battle it out for season honours at the Michelin Pilot Challenge finale

Two more Aston Martins join to witness the Volt Racing AMR battle it out for season honours at the Michelin Pilot Challenge finale

Three Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4’s are set to showcase at the final round of the 2022 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge event at Road Atlanta next weekend at the running of the tenth and Championship deciding round of the series.

Having started way back at Daytona at the tail end of January, we have seen the #7 Volt Racing AMR of Alan Brynjolfsson and Trent Hindman (joined by other teams from the AMR stable come and go) as the bright yellow livered car has mounted a concerted effort throughout the season to be leading the GS Class going into this final round.

Their last round of the Series at VIR back in late August saw the team having to conduct an amazing exercise in damage limitation after having their engine cut out just as Brynjolfsson’s minimum drive time was coming to an end. Although the car was recovered back to the paddock and returned to the circuit, they did finish four laps down to the winner BUT their Championship rival also suffered with incident during the race to finish only a few places ahead.

As the teams congregate at the circuit for next Fridays final two-hour race of the season, it will be a straightforward two car shoot-out between the #7 Aston Martin and the #56 Murillo Racing Mercedes AMG GT4 of Eric Foss to battle it out to determine the eventual class victor as just 160 points separate the two crews.

Joining the #7 car amongst the thirty-nine-car grid (of which twenty-five will be GS (GT4) class cars) will be the #09 Automatic Racing prepared Stoner Car Care AMR as well as a debut IMSA for the API prepared Aston Martin of Moisey Uretsky

The #09 will also be featuring a revised driver line up as Rob Ecklin stands aside (for business reasons again) to allow youngster Casey Carden to take the wheel alongside long-standing Bronze Cup entrant Ramin Abdolvahabi. Having skipped rounds of the series through personal preferences and been involved in other cars accidents and incidents at others, the #09 car still searches for their first Bronze Cup win of the season with high hopes being placed upon these two individuals.

That leaves a car and crew more recently known to be participating within the SRO’s GT America and GT4 America Series as Accelerating Performance Team bring their bright yellow liveried #39 AMR Vantage GT4 of Uretsky and Justin Piscitell into the fray for a racing introduction into the IMSA series after their SRO commitments this weekend at Sebring.

It will be exciting, and it will also be all decided by the fall of the chequered flag next Friday!

Staying out of trouble earned Stoner Car Care team their first Bronze Cup podium in Michelin Pilot Challenge

Staying out of trouble earned Stoner Car Care team their first Bronze Cup podium in Michelin Pilot Challenge

Survival was the name of the game Saturday at Road America, as the Stoner Car Care Racing fielded by Automatic Racing team avoided the trouble that caused five caution periods to bring its Aston Martin Vantage GT4 home in second in the Bronze Cup and 14th overall in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge’s Road America 240.

With ambient temperatures near 90 and track temps over 100, drivers Rob Ecklin, Jr. and Ramin Abdolvahabi knew they had a challenge ahead in the No. 09 Invisible Glass Aston Martin Vantage GT4 – with their usual Stoner Car Care Aston Martin sidelined with a differential issue, the team recalled the iconic colors back into action on Friday afternoon.

With past IMPC races as a benchmark, the team knew a four-hour race at the vaunted Wisconsin road course would hold nonstop action – and more than a few incidents. The game plan as always was to play it smart, making judicious passes and taking advantage where they could as they sought their first Bronze Cup victory (for Bronze FIA-rated drivers). The action commenced from the drop of the green, as 39 cars diced for position. Abdolvahabi, starting 23rd, got the worst of it on lap one – hit from behind and from the side in turn three.

Assessing the damage, he and the team determined that the car was not badly damaged, so Abdolvahabi continued. The first caution came only 20 minutes into the race, and the team made a strategy call to save time, calling Abdolvahabi into pit lane for left-side Michelin tires and fuel.

"On that first lap, one car shut the door on me and we made contact, which sent me into another car," said Abdolvahabi. "Then he hit me from behind. I'm just glad I was able to keep it on the road and keep it going, we're lucky we didn't get spun around. But that's the sort of thing that happens in such close racing! The car just wasn't the same after that - the steering was fine, but the toe seemed a bit off. We just didn't have the pace."

The race went green, yellow, green, yellow in rapid succession over the next hour, but Abdolvahabi made smart moves and took advantage of a round of late pit stops to move up to P14. He held steady throughout the final minutes of his stint, handing off to Ecklin with just over two hours remaining.

But shortly thereafter, it was Ecklin’s turn to get tagged from behind in what was rapidly becoming a game of bumper cars. He fought the ill-handling car but still laid down steady laps, climbing from P22 up to P16 with 40 minutes remaining. When the checkered flag flew, Ecklin was second in the Bronze Cup standings and P14 overall.

"Staying out of trouble was key today - those were some hard hits out there today,” said Ecklin. “I couldn't feel anything technically wrong with the car, but it was just off pace. I couldn't gain time anywhere. So it was a matter of managing fuel and keeping the car on track. This is a very physical track to race on for four hours, so while we're disappointed not to get the Bronze Cup win, we're happy to have brought the car home."

"Rob and I really wanted P1 in Bronze Cup," said Abdolvahabi. "The strategy was spot-on, but all those hits just took us out of contention."“Finishing on the lead lap after four hours, with a wounded car from lap one on, with some good strategy along the way, I’m pretty happy with that,” said Automatic Racing team manager David Russell. “Driver changes were good, crew work was excellent, and we survived it with a whole car – and in this race, that’s a positive outcome.”

The Stoner Car Care team continues to support End Alzheimer’s Racing, carrying decals on the car to help their efforts to raise funds and awareness.

Next up for the Stoner Car Care team will be the Virginia is for Racing Lovers Grand Prix from VIRginia International Raceway.

Stoner Car Care Aston Martin back in Michelin Pilot Challenge this weekend at Road America

Stoner Car Care Aston Martin back in Michelin Pilot Challenge this weekend at Road America

The challenge is set for the Stoner Car Care Racing fielded by Automatic Racing team this weekend: prepare for some of the hottest temperatures yet this season as the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge is set to feature the second endurance race of the season, the four-hour Road America 240.

Drivers Rob Ecklin, Jr. and Ramin Abdolvahabi, veterans of numerous races at Road America, look to capture that elusive Bronze Cup victory as they return to the legendary Wisconsin circuit with their No. 09 Stoner Car Care Aston Martin Vantage GT4. The Bronze Cup recognises the top drivers in the Grand Sport (GS) class who are in the FIA-rated Bronze category, denoting drivers who are not full-time professionals – but who are fully dedicated to improving their racing craft.

The Michelin Pilot Challenge series traditionally contests two four-hour endurance races each season, with the first at Daytona in January. This year, the second endurance race makes its debut at Road America, bringing a unique set of challenges to driver, team and equipment – especially given the expected temperatures in the 90s.

Teams often add a third driver for the endurance events but like Daytona, the Stoner Car Care team will stay with its usual two-driver lineup this weekend – though in dramatically different weather conditions than they saw in January.

“We contested the four-hour race at Daytona with just Ramin and I, so we know what to expect,” said Ecklin. “Though of course, the weather will be very different this weekend! We’re looking forward to the chance for more track time at Road America: it’s such an iconic track in terms of history and location.

“The key for Saturday is strategy and looking at how to manage that with two drivers,” continued Ecklin. “Fuel stops, yellows, and of course, the driver himself – ideally, you change drivers halfway, but this is a very physical track and with the heat, that’s the biggest challenge. You have to rest where you can on the straights, because you’ll need it on the tight sections. And some of these corners are pretty loaded, G-force wise. It will definitely be an endurance test.”

The team conducted a two-day test with both drivers two weeks ago at VIRginia International Raceway and came away with solid setup for the Road America weekend. Automatic Racing team manager David Russell has a plan in place, but knows that plans can rapidly change, especially in an endurance event.

“We had a good test two weeks ago at VIR, so we definitely feel ready,” offered Russell. “As Rob said, there isn’t a big difference in pre-race prep for a four-hour race, but it is a strategy change – especially with only two drivers. We have that planned but of course, looking at probable pace and tire degradation – we can’t look at historical data regarding Road America caution periods, though, because of the longer race. We’ll stop at least three times, if not four, and we have to factor in where to place the driver change, working from the end of the race backwards. Obviously though, racing usually does not go to plan!”

Russell also looks forward to an added “family” dynamic this weekend on the Stoner Car Care team.

“This is a special weekend for a lot of reasons,” said Automatic Racing team manager David Russell. “Two of our team guys, Ryan and Aaron Szyjakowski, are from Milwaukee and their dad Joseph will be out here helping this weekend! It’s going to be a lot of fun to have them all involved.”

The Stoner Car Care team continues to support End Alzheimer’s Racing, carrying decals on the car to help their efforts to raise funds and awareness.

The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge 240 from Road America takes the green flag Saturday at 2:15 p.m.
