Despite O'Young having raced on the picturesque Mount Panorama before this event shall be surprisingly the first time for both Mucke and MacDowall. The emphasis for the team will however be on targeting overall race victory with Mucke already having shown form in the Dubai 24Hr earlier this month.

In the sister car team regular Frank Yu will be joined by fellow Craft Bamboo racer Jonathon Venter and former Oak Racing gentleman driver Jean-Marc Merlin. Both Yu and Venter come with prior experience of the challenging circuit but Merlin comes with a wealth of racing experience from the WEC, European Le Mans and the Le Mans 24Hr.

This will be the first time an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 has contested the 12-hour race and Aston Martin Racing team principal John Gaw believes that Craft-Bamboo Racing is the right team to represent the brand in the high-profile race.
“Every year, our cars are competing in more and more races and championships around the world and with great successes for our customer and works team,” commented Gaw. “Bathurst 12 Hours is such an exciting race to watch and I’m delighted that Aston Martin will be there battling it out. Craft-Bamboo Racing has an excellent track-record and we believe they are the right team to conquer the mountain with our V12 Vantage GT3.”
