22GT Racing back in British GT

Today saw the announcement that former British GT contenders and Aston Martin historic racers 22GT Racing are to return to the national series for 2015 in a new V12 Vantage GT3.
Having run in historic events across Europe for the last 5 years team owner Tom Alexander today announced an exciting driver line up for his Derby based team including former BGT Champion and Caterham driver Jon Barnes and fellow Caterham ace Mark Farmer.
Jon Barnes said "Returning to the british GT Championship is something I've dreamt about for the last seven years! It's such a compelling championship - held at some of the most iconic motorsport venues in the world - and I'm really looking forward to see how we perform. We have set some modest goals initially, but we have some huge ambitions."
Mark Farmer said "I am privileged, humbled and excited to be joining Jon and the 22GT team this season with our new car. We're going to give it our best shot and I'm looking forward to some exciting racing."

It is thought that the team have secured the second and final Ex. MP Motorsport V12 Vantage that were offered for sale at the end of last season (other chassis is already with Motionsport in Australia getting ready for the Bathurst 12hr)
The team have also announced an extensive testing programme over the coming weeks starting off with a shakedown in Spain which 'may be' at the annual Aston Martin Racing factory and customer team 'get together'
