Dubai 24H qualifying

Thursday, January 08, 2015

With only about twelve hours to go before the start of the 2015 Hankook 24H of Dubai all efforts on track today were for the final two Free Practice and three Qualifying sessions.

As has been the case across all timed sessions yesterday and earlier today the #28 KPM Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 of Paul White, Stefan Mucke and Jonny Adam has been firmly placed within the top 5 of the field between 0.1 and 1.0 seconds off the lead time and well in contention for race pole.

In Qualifying 1 and 3 (sessions in which the A6 class GT3 cars could run) the team achieved a best combined time of 1:59:128 (Set in in Q3) meaning that the car would start from P7 come the start of the race at 14:00Hrs local on Friday.

Further back along the incredible 94 car entry the #160 ALFAB Racing Vantage GT4 SP3 class car of Behrens, Ros, Skoog and Skoog would be starting in P54 (overall) and fifth in class just ahead of the #170 Speedworks Motorsport Vantage GT4 of Gilbert, Haugh, O'Neil and Modell in P56 (overall) and sixth in class.

With a brief Warm Up session tomorrow morning the race proper is due to start at about 10.00am GMT  with live coverage on both Radio Le Mans and on Motors TV in the UK
