Friday 19th February - AMR Announcements

Thursday, February 18, 2016

Tomorrow is the day that all Aston Martin Racing fans should be close to a computer or smart phone in readiness for the impending team announcements coming from the factory team and their 2016 campaigns.

Whilst their WEC and Le Mans entries have already been confirmed by the ACO/FIA, only a single driver has been nominated per car - per series so tomorrows event at the marques Gaydon headquarters will see those full driver line ups finally confirmed.

What else?

We expect the factory to confirm the new tyre deal for their cars in the above series - a deal, we understand that should have remained undisclosed until then!!

We can also expect the factory confirmation of the entry of the #98 Aston Martin Racing supported GT3 (GTD) being entered at Sebring next month (as Mathias Lauda let slip whilst at Daytona last month) alongside any further factory supported GT3 efforts at other premier racing events such as the Nurburgring and Spa 24's.

Only yesterday we saw AMR announce a new team partner in IQ Options - an announcement that has already stated that a new livery will be unveiled at some point in the season - does that mean that we will see the team run differing liveries in 2016 like they did last year with Hanergy and Valero?

Then, after all of this we can sit back and await for news from the factory and their Partner teams who will be making the long trek down to Spain ready for their annual winter test next weekend (apologies - as we have previously said that this test was this weekend coming).

Tomorrow we will have more answers than questions! (Hopefully!!)
