Surprise AMR driver line up changes FOR WEC

Aston Martin Racing has today announced plans to consolidate its driver lineup ahead of the upcoming 6 Hours of Nürburgring.
The changes will remain in place for the duration of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), as the team looks to focus its championship title bid in the second half of the season.
Darren Turner (GB) will return to his more familiar entry number, joining Richie Stanaway (NZ) in the #97 V8 Vantage GTE. With the departure of Turner from the 'Danetrain', the #95 entry will continue to be driven by the Danish pairing of Nicki Thiim and Marco Sørensen.
Each entry will benefit from increased track time per driver and fewer compromises in their driving positions.
Jonny Adam (GB) and Fernando Rees (BR) will remain within the Aston Martin Racing fold, but will not currently take part in any further WEC rounds in 2016.
Team Principal of Aston Martin Racing, Paul Howarth, said "With the second half of the season due to begin, we have had to consider what is best for the team. With a focused driver lineup, this should help give us the best possible chance of success this year. I hope that Nicki, Marco, Darren and Richie will continue to push hard and keep us at the top of the GT manufacturers table".

The team's GTE Am lineup of Paul Dalla Lana (C), Mathias Lauda (A) and Pedro Lamy (P) remains unchanged.
