Could Miedecke Stone win again at Hampton Downs 101?

Friday, October 28, 2016

Both Miedecke Stone Motorsport entered Aston Martin Racing V12 Vantage GT3's continue to ready themselves for this weekends third round out of four of the Australian Endurance Championship at the recently refurbished Hampton Downs circuit in New Zealand.

With the father an son line up of Andrew and George Miedecke continuing to get more performance from #95 car and themselves as they put in the laps, the #95 car continues to  be a threat for those around them with a further podium a discount possibility. Free Practices sessions today and yesterday saw the duo end up P6 overall just 0.61 seconds off the pace setting car.

Also, and for the first time this season the MSR team have a second car to prepare and manage for experienced V8 racers Richard Moore and Tony Longhurst as the latter prepares himself for the 12hours of Bathurst early next year. Despite what we believe to be both drivers first experience of the Aston this duo finished the practice sessions just three places off the full season Tony Quinn entered Aston in 17th.

Saturday will see a brief warm up session before a double qualifying session with a top 10 shoot out before the start of the 101 lap race itself at 13.30hrs local on Sunday.

We wish them well.
