Solaris head to Mugello for final round of the Italian GT

Thursday, October 13, 2016

This weekend sees the seventh and final round of the 2016 Italian GT series, featuring of course Solaris Motorsport head back to Mugello for what will be the series second visit of the year to that track.

Drivers Francesco Sini and 'local' driver Max Mugelli will also be hoping for some better luck this time having suffered a post race penalty for a pit stop infraction in race 1 an a substantial race ending shunt in race 2 that seriously damaged the car but fortunately not the driver.

That said, Mugello last time round was on the back of two podium finishes from the previous two rounds which the team also gained last time out at Imola when Prodrive and Aston Martin Racing's chairman David Richards paid his newest customer team a visit.

Whilst many of the championships titles are still up for grabs none are unfortunately in reach of the Solaris team but we are sure that they will be doing their utmost to see out their first season with an Aston Martin Racing V12 Vantage GT3 on the top step of the podium.
