First look at new CMRT Eurasia AMR for Blancpain Asia

Tuesday, March 14, 2017

Eurasia Motorsport are pleased to announce that they will compete in Blancpain GT Series Asia with James Cai and Kenneth Lim, who will drive for the Aston Martin Racing Partner Team.

Cai and Lim, who finished third in the 2015 GT Asia GTM Cup, will be gunning for AM Cup honours this year. The duo took a sabbatical in 2016 in preparation for the move up to GT3 and have already tested at the Sepang F1 Circuit, the venue for the first event on April 8-9, where they set encouraging lap times during their first experience of the Aston Martin Vantage and GT3 power.

“We are now really looking forward to the year in Blancpain Asia” stated Lim. “It’s a step up but it’s something we have both wanted to do for a while now. It’s a good series to get involved with and we know it will be a good experience and a great challenge.”

Eurasia is no stranger to Aston Martin as they managed and ran the cars for two seasons in 2013-2014. “We are really happy to be back with Aston Martin and in partnership with CMRT we are looking forward to the season,” remarked Team Principal Mark Goddard.

The 12-round series gets underway in April at Sepang, and wraps up at the Zhejiang Circuit China in October.
