Four AMR Vantage GT4's at Shanghai?

Wednesday, September 06, 2017

This weekend sees the return of the China GT Championship following their month long summer break  for their fourth round at the Shanghai International Circuit.

Joining the GT4 contingent for this round will be a brace of Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT4's from the China Equity AMR team who return to the championship for the first time since the opening round of the seasoning Beijing where the team enjoyed podium finishes in the opening two races.

For Shanghai, China Equity AMR have called upon the racing services of non other than former British GT GT4 Champion and Beechdean AMR European Le Mans driver Ross Gunn who shall co-pilot the teams #618 car as he and the Prodrive factory supported team look to elevate their championship position from the foot of the table.

Also for Shanghai, the AMR Vantage GT4 shall enjoy a favourable bespoke China GT Balance of Performance by means of a 20kg weight reduction whilst the class's KTM, McLaren and Lotus will endure a significant base weight increase amongst other factors.

In the absence of an official entry list, we hope that the AMR customer team ZEA FEA Racing also field their two AMR Vantage GT4's and bolster their position in the GT4 Championship standings after their steady stream of results up until now.
