Miedecke's make an early return to The Mountain

Saturday, November 04, 2017

Having sat out most of the 2017 season, father and son racing duo Andrew and George Miedecke are planning on a simple return to racing life over the next few weeks with visits to both Bathurst and Phillip Island.

With Andrew having contented himself with a couple of entries into their local New South Wales Motor Racing championships (with some success it must be added) and George more recently at an Australian tin top endurance event, both are listed as entries into the 2017 Challenge Bathurst event on the infamous street circuit later this month.

Both of the Miedecke Stone Motorsport's AMR GT3 and GT4 cars have been listed within the Supersprint Group D field at the event that starts November 16th although George only mentioned that their latest Vantage N24 acquisition as being entered so we will wait and see what happens there.

After that however, George has confirmed that both of the team's GT3 and GT4 are entered into the Island Magic racing club event at the Phillips Island circuit at the end of November as the team readies themselves for the pinnacle Australian GT event back at Bathurst in February 2018.

Last we heard was that just one of the team's AMR V12 Vantage GT3's was 2/3rd's confirmed although they hoped to enter a second GT3 as well as a GT4.
