What what it first appeared to be - phew!!

Perusing the classifieds last night quickly led to some frantic social media communication with some around the other side of the world in order to dispel our initial fears.

Listed on the Racecardirect.com web site this week were two Aston Martin Racing cars from Miedecke Stone Motorsport - a team who have taken something of a step back from competitive motorsport in 2017.

Thankfully George Miedecke confirmed late last night that the sale of two of teams four cars are being listed for sale as a simple rationalisation of asset before final decisions on prospective plans for 2018 are committed to. The team retains two V12 Vantage GT3's.

Being listed is the teams number #11 chassis - fully rebuilt and upgraded since its third place result last time out at the 2016 Australian GT finale at Highlands Park in New Zealand. The car had been listed for sale before before being withdrawn for its rebuild.

Full listing details can be found HERE

The other listing is for what we believe to be the teams last acquisition, a V8 Vantage GT4 used by Andrew Miedecke in two New South Wales Motor Racing Championship events.

Details of that listing can be found HERE

We understand that the father and son team had elected to take a step back in 2017 to concentrate on their family businesses in Australia - something that makes perfect commercial sense considering the raising cost of motorsport. We hope to see them out on track again somewhere soon.
