A massive championship decision favours Optimum today

Tuesday, September 04, 2018

Optimum Motorsport is pleased to announce today (4 September) that it has won its appeal against the stewards’ decision taken during the British GT Championship opening race at Snetterton in May.
The team immediately appealed the 30-second time penalty applied to the result, one that dropped them from fourth position at the chequered flag to ninth.
Having won the appeal, the team gain an additional ten points in the championship and lead the drivers’ standings with 149.5 points ahead of the season finale at Donington.
“I’m very happy with this decision,” stated Team Principal Shaun Goff. “We never accepted this incident was anything other than a racing accident. We’re delighted with the outcome and now we can look forward to a strong showing at Donington where we stand a good chance of taking the championship honours.”

First problem from this is "who do we cheer for now?"
