Whitebridge AMR secure GT Cup's GTH Class Championship

Sunday, September 09, 2018

With the season finale from Silverstone still to come in just over a months time, Whitebridge AMR's racing duo of Chris Murphy and Adam Hatfield today secured the GT Cup's GTH Class Championship in style with three race wins over the weekend at Donington.

Admittedly, not all of their points haul have been aboard any of the Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT4's as an early season testing accident forced them to carry on with one of Team Hard's Ginetta G55's before securing the former Generation AMR Vantage GT4 in time for the Aston Martin Racing Festival at Le Mans in June and the remainder of the GT Cup calendar.

This weekends performance sees their GTH Championship lead stretch to an unassailable 119 points.

With the class title now secure the former quad bike racer and timber merchant will now set their eyes upon the series Overall Championship which they now lead by eleven points going into the final race weekend.

Passing our congratulations onto the team earlier, an answer to a cheeky question may have found our first applicant into next years Aston Martin Racing Academy for the young Hatfield.

Congratulations!
